BRaVE Group for Venezuela: Human Rights Update 07/02/2026
Dear Colleagues,
Some progress has been made on human rights. Human Rights Watch ( HRW) acknowledges that some 400 political prisoners have been released , but 600 remain in jail. And HRW calls for further action. Congress has passed an Amnesty Law. But this isn’t a blanket law leading to an amnesty for all, whether inside Venezuela or outside. Individuals must apply for amnesty and have their case considered thereafter. Time will tell how much of a change will take place.Â
